King Whale Fertilizer Mixing Steps

Choosing the appropriate fertilizer mixing steps to match growing techniques, equipment, and area, aims to use the feeding chart correctly, measure fertilizers accurately, and understand the types of each fertilizer.

Select Feeding Chart

Use concentrated liquid fertilizer from method (b.1) for measuring by volume with a measuring cup (no need to weigh). Convenient for use and suitable for automatic fertilizer dispensers.

Mix fertilizer directly in the pre-mix tank by weighing the fertilizer. This is the simplest and most common method. Waiting for each to dissolve before adding the next.

Irrigation System / Watering Method

All mixing methods and feeding charts can be used. Start by recommending the direct mixing method by weighing the fertilizer (c.1). If a digital scale is unavailable, another method is to make concentrated liquid fertilizer first (b.1), then measure and mix for use later.

Automatic fertilizer dispensing systems without a Pre-mix tank (Direct Inline-Injection) or direct injection into pipes require converting powder/granule/flake fertilizers into concentrated liquid form first. This ensures that the dispenser can draw and dissolve the fertilizer for use without clogging, using specialized equipment such as Dosatron, Inline-Injection, and similar systems.

Creating a Pre-Mixed Tank for direct mixing fertilizers in a mixing tank or water tank and accurately checking the mix after completion. This method allows for various application methods (manual watering, drip systems, etc.). It is flexible and safe, allowing for the addition of powder/granule/flake fertilizers, concentrated liquid fertilizers, or liquid fertilizer products directly into the mixing tank.

All mixing methods and charts can be used. It is recommended to change the water every 7-12 days to maintain nutrient levels and reduce microorganisms in the water that could clog the system later.

FAQ

Fertilizers or enhancers in liquid or concentrated liquid form can be used immediately by measuring the volume and diluting with clean water to the appropriate amount for the plants before use.

Fertilizers or enhancers in water-soluble powder, granule, or flake form should be weighed (c2.) and mixed into a tank for watering plants. Alternatively, they can be made into concentrated liquid fertilizer (b1.) for easier measurement and use.

1 liter of concentrated liquid fertilizer can be prepared using 250 grams of powder fertilizer. Follow the instructions below.

(b1.1) Prepare a 1,000 ml container. Add approximately 500 ml of clean water.
(b1.2) Add 250 grams of water-soluble powder/granule/flake fertilizer to the container.
(b1.3) Stir until dissolved, then fill the container with water up to 1,000 ml. Let it sit for 30 – 60 minutes.
(b1.4) Store the concentrated liquid fertilizer in a clean container, away from direct sunlight. Do not store for more than 30 days after mixing.

Measuring by volume or using a measuring cup allows for quick and accurate measurement, reducing errors.

(c1.1) Use a measuring cup marked with volume in ml. or cc.
(c1.2) Measure the volume of fertilizer and mix it into the mixing tank according to the order in the liquid fertilizer feeding chart ( XC2, XC3 )
(c1.3.) Liquid fertilizer should be poured into the measuring spoon, not scooped from the bottle, to prevent contamination.

Weighing is used to measure powder, granule, or flake fertilizer for direct mixing into the tank. The advantage is long-term storage and quick use, but it requires an accurate digital scale with decimal precision (for small mixes).

(c2.1) Use a dry, clean spoon to scoop and weigh each time (cannot be measured by volume).
(c2.2) Weigh the fertilizer and mix it into the mixing tank according to the order in the direct feeding chart ( XD2, XD3 ).
(c2.3) After use, seal the fertilizer bag tightly to maintain its quality.
